Seven-days in Tuscany, Italy with Rob Zeer and Keith Thirgood. Rob has a unique style, which works very well in the Tuscan landscape. Keith is a Canadian Post-Impressionist. His style could be described as semi-abstract reductionism.
Rob and Keith will take you to fantastic, iconic Tuscan landscapes. The sun in Tuscany is unlike anything you are likely to be used to. The hills, fields, rugged places all come together to produce the moist amazing place to paint.
Rob will be showing you how to use his unique style to deal with the Tuscan landscape. Keith will demonstrate the modified post impressionist style he has become known for.
Keith will also teach you Modern Colour Theory and practical color mixing.

Alone in the Woods: Keith Thirgood
After you arrive in either Florence or Rome, you take the Florence to Rome train to CHIUSI CHIANCIANO station and call us. We will pick you up from the station and take you to the Atelier. (Once you sign up, we will send you more complete and easy to understand instructions regarding getting here from the airports.)
We will be posting an itinerary later in this spot. Most days we'll be painting on location. We will be visiting villages, farms, vistas and more. There will be a one-day excursion to Florence, to expose you to this amazing artistic city.

We stay in the wonderful Atelier Cetona, Tuscany where they will take care of us completely. There is even studio space to paint if the weather turns against us.
As space is limited, all accommodation is shared, two artists per room, or if a couple is in one room the room is shared between the couple and an individual artist. (If a couple wants a room to themselves, add $400 to the total, as this eliminates one artist from the retreat.)

In order for this retreat to go ahead, we must have a minimum of 6 students signed up, with deposits paid, by August 1, 2015. If that minimum numbers in not reached, the retreat will be cancelled and all fees refunded. Wilson Street Studio is not responsible for any additional expenses the students might have incurred, nor for the inconvenience such a cancellation might cause.
Refund Policy
Up to 35 Days prior to retreat, full refund minus $100 administration fee.
35-15 days prior to retreat, 50% of fees.
14-8 days prior to retreat, 25% refund of fees.
7 days prior to retreat, no refund.
