6-Week Virtual Workshop, running January 13, 20, 27, February 3, 10 & 17

Picture
Pick up new skills and techniques while participating in this weekly series of online workshops.

The workshops include a 40-minute Zoom session
comprised of a brief demo of directions and techniques, plus live discussion of participating artists' questions and issues. Over the six-session workshop, most of the class will work on the same painting. More advanced students can choose to work from their own image.

Notes on techniques, tools and artistic approaches will be distributed after each class. This material will help the artist move forward on the work in preparation for the next class.

Participants are encouraged to speak up during class to ask questions and make comments. We all improve with constructive input from our peers.

Some of the topics covered will include:
-What's the major mistake most artists make, and how to avoid it?
-Composition, what is it and why you should care more than you do?
-Value sketching, a cure for most problems?
-What makes for a good painting?
-What kind of artist are you, and why it matters?
-Using critiques to grow as an artist.

Participating artists will be given a link to the Zoom event. Zoom events are as easy as visiting a website. No technical abilities required to participate.

The workshops are being held on Wednesday evenings, starting at 7pm. The fee is $99, payable using the following Paypal link. Once you arrive at the Paypal gateway, you can pay using your credit card without needing to be a Paypal member.
